The Cheshire Sandstone Ridge
Virtual Reality Community Hub
Explore the amazing geology, habitats and wildlife around the sandstone ridge through 360-degrees VR Tours.
We have created 360-degree VR tours right across the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge so you can get up close.
Virtual Reality headsets are available to rent for free, for local organisations based in Cheshire to run VR sessions.
Ideal for use in the community, especially for people who can no longer visit and explore due to mobility challenges.

What is available?
The Cheshire Sandstone Ridge Trust commissioned GIZMO MEDIA to develop a free Virtual Reality resource for the local community to benefit from. GIZMO MEDIA has created a series of VR Tours of popular locations throughout the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge, such as Beeston Castle, Delamere Forest, Helsby Hill & Woods, Raw Head, Frodsham Hill & Woods, Bickerton Hill, Bulkeley Hill Woods and various other locations.
Currently we have five VR Headsets that are available to rent for free. and Online training is provided on how to operate the VR headsets and some important health & safety information around using VR headsets in care homes and primary schools is provided.
Our VR Tours are aimed at organisations who provide services in the community for the elderly and people who experience loneliness or have mobility challenges. Such groups can utilise the VR headsets to help people explore amazing places and reconnect with the natural beauty of the Sandstone Ridge.
This is also an ideal opportunity for local primary schools, to introduce Virtual Reality as a technology that can be used to help children to learn about geology, habitats and the natural environment.
